As I get further into this venture, I become more learned and aware about what will and will not be accepted as a link in a tag page article for Technorati. As a general rule, I found that I cannot include links to a website whose url is named after a person. The editor has mentioned that this is because he has no way to verify the credentials of the person whose service or product is represented.

Another thing that is not allowed is to promote a particular brand as an anchor text or a tag page article title. I slipped one through before knowing this, but had a “warning shot” fired at me, gently reminding me that I am not to be promoting a particular brand, that this is too close to advertising.

Also, some few of you have been wanting me to include the name of a city with your main keyword as the anchor text in the tag article. Generally that is a tip off to the editor that I am front and center promoting a particular service, and he doesn’t like this either. I personally think that the best idea in this case (take for example Houston Lawyer, or whatever) is to optimize for Google Local Search. I write a bit about it here.

In general things are rolling along just fine, however more people should be asking if I have a high PR tag article title keyword that is relevant to their niche! Don’t forget that the tag article title keyword doesn’t have to be the exact same as your anchor text. They should certainly be related, but do like one of my customers does, and target the high PR tag articles, and I can still work in your chosen anchor text keywords. I had somebody pass on my suggestion of this for a very relevant keyword for his niche, but I guess he just didn’t understand the value of a link on a PR5 of a domain 9 website!

Good News!

I know some of you had been concerned that after having claimed a high PR tag page in your behalf and written the tag article for you, upon being published it seemed that the page rank dropped off the map, or went into some type of “probationary” state, or fell from the good graces of Google into oblivion by having an n/a for page rank. The editor was calling it a Technorati ”glitch.” But as of today, I noticed that the face of Technorati has undergone a change, and thankfully it looks as if the PR has come back to its rightful home. I had suspected that this would be the case, mentioning that why would Google knock off the PR on tag pages of subjects that were so vital, popular, and were so blogged about. Every tag page that I had written for customers that reverted to the /r/ and temporarily lost PR as part of the process has now been fixed. The “glitch” has been unglitched and you have the rightful PR that you had expected to have.

The tag page articles also have more of a front-and-center look and feel to them. This should help to give the reader an extra chance to take an opportunity to read the tag page article and hopefully click on your included link.

SEO Advantages and Disadvantages of
Technorati Tag Pages

It is obvious that in terms of SEO the tag pages of Techonorati.com is a “lovely piece”. First of all, because Techonorati.com is a web site with many years of very nice reputation in the eyes of search engines – and reputation is becoming more and more important today. A backlink from SEO trusted site can be worth dozens or even hundreds of backlinks from hundreds of web sites that are fresh and green and just start building their reputation.

Among other advantages of Technorati tag pages (for SEO) it is possible to mention that you can build from these pages:

- one way links
- links without “no follow” attribute (that kills all SEO value of any backlink)
- links of super high relevancy

The list of SEO advantages of getting a backlink on the Technorati tag page can be huge, but…

There is One Serious Disadvantage
About Technorati Tag Pages

Your backlinks on these pages will last hours or maybe even minutes. And this is a big problem in terms of SEO. Just imagine Google saw a backlink to your site from a lovely tag page: Google is happy, you are happy. Several minutes have passed – no backlink. Google starts thinking “What the heck?!!”

Definitely this does not add to the value of your site in the eyes of Google, if a backlink lastes only few minutes.

Why Does that Happen?

You see, TRADITIONALLY you get to the Technorati tag page when you put a certain keyword or keyphrase into the tag line of your blog post. Once you publish this post, it automatically gets “digested” by Technorati and your post gets to the tag page of this keyword.

For example, if into the tag line of your post you entered “make money online”, it means a sneak preview of your post is published on Technorati tag page “make money online”.

The problem is that whenever any other blog on the planet publishes a post with the same keyword in the tag line – this post gets above you on the tag page, and pushes your post down. Naturally that on the popular tag pages – and this is exactly where everybody tries to get – your post in “flushed down” in a matter of minutes.

How SEOTagWriter.com
Bypasses this Problem
AND
Gives You a Permanent Backlink
From Technorati Tag Pages

This is about a new possibility added by a team which works together with Technorati, and I have become one of the authors of this team – just read what their editors say about me: “…please don’t stop or slow down” [in reference to writing the tag articles], “Thanks…and keep the xxxxxxxxxx [keyword omitted] tags coming! Love em’!”, “xxxxxxxxx is right now one of our most reliable tag writers and I’d hate to lose him.”

So, what I am doing within the framework of the SEO service offered on SEOTagWriter.com is the following: I create a unique piece of text for a keyword in your niche and get it published on the Technorati tag page.

Not in the publications of blogs, but in a special text area that stays on this tag page PERMANENTLY and is not flushed down in a matter of some minutes or hours. This piece of text is created by me for the Technorati site as a review of this topic (the topic of the keyword that you need, be it “LA weight loss”, “work from home moms”, etc.), and once their editors approve this text (with your backlink inside!) – this text stays permanently on the tag page.

In such a smart way SEOTagWriter.com helps you to get a permanent one way link from Technorati tag page – and your competitors will be “flushed down” the tag pages.
